Men – When a guy is interviewing for a job he can never go wrong with wearing a button down shirt with a tie that he tied himself. The answer depends on where you’re interviewing at. If it’s a casual environment then a sports coat will do but if it’s a fortune five hundred company then it’s always best to dress for success and wear a suit jacket.
Women – For women the same rules apply when it comes to dressing for an interview. A woman can never go wrong with wearing a conservative suit skirt that is either black, navy blue or grey in color. Just make sure that the suit skirt is comfortable and easy to sit down in because if you’re not comfortable, the interviewer will know.
Women should also stick with a professional hair style, minimal jewelry, a little make up and light perfume. These steps will enable the interviewer to keep their focus and conduct professional and ethical interview.
Once a man or woman wins a new job it’s important for them to maintain their professional appearance by expanding their business attire. Some people might tremble at this idea because buying more clothes means spending more money. Before spending hundreds of dollars on clothing every man and women should take a trip to their local thrift store where they will find business attire and professional clothing at deep discounts.
