I've had enough. Every Sunday morning, our local radio personality hosts a TV show that comes up right after "Meet the Press." As if an hour of bullshit wasn't enough, I have to sit through two, and I HAVE to sit through two because I'm too shell shocked to turn away. Every Sunday, the show's guests take their spades and quite literally dig a deeper hole into their graves of ignorance. Let's look at an example. At the end of every show, each guest picks his/her "Winner" and "Loser" of the week. For the "Winner," one of the guests chose President Bush. Why in God's name would anyone name President Bush a "Winner?" Well, according to him, President Bush took the NIE leak that happened early in the week and turned it around because the report said al-Qaeda was crippled and a stable Middle East would prevent more violence. AL-QAEDA WAS NOT IN IRAQ BEFORE WE INVADED. IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WAR ON TERROR. Now, Iraq is a poster for al-Qaeda recruitment because it's just another example of America's so-called "Imperialist Policy," which is exactly why Osama bin Laden declared war on us in the first place. Al-Qaeda will not be effectively crippled until its top leaders are killed. Period. Then the so-called Democrats name their winners and losers and they pick some local idiots who are safe and reasonable, because they don't have the balls necessary to tackle anyone bigger. Then the other conservative names his "Loser," Russ Feingold, who voted against the newest detainee bill that caused so much hub-bub during the week. In this conservative's eyes, it was a perfectly reasonable bill and obviously Feingold is not fighting terrorism. No, you fucking idiot. The reason Feingold voted against the bill was because it's a joke. Anyone with a reasonable head understands this. Here's a taste from Feingold, which you can read in its entirety here: "Under this legislation, some individuals, at the designation of the executive branch alone, could be picked up, even in the United States, and held indefinitely without trial and without any access whatsoever to the courts. They would not be able to call upon the laws of our great nation to challenge their detention because they would have been put outside the reach of the law." This happens on every single goddamn talk show out there, both national and local. Conservatives come on, take a shit in front of the audience and then sell it as fertilizer (poetic license to Lewis Black). Charlie Sykes apparently goes out and literally finds as many retarded registered Republicans as possible, which I suppose I should thank him for because it makes the conservative cause look so pathetic. The problem, of course, is that people watching at home actually believe the bullshit they're watching. Watch these programs, both local and national, and hold the people accountable for what they say. Email them, let them know that they need to get their facts straight, and encourage them to be more balanced. Try not to swear.
