Before you can submit your work, you need to join the FREE mailing list. What does this do? This list is purely for the purposes of news related to the magazine and its members. It's not sold to anyone, and it's not used for spam. Every time a new issue comes out, or something important in the fiction world develops, you'll receive an email. Of course, you can always opt-out at any time (the option is available at the bottom of the email). The point is that magazines don't work unless people read them. A lot of writers will submit their stories, but they'll never even bother to pick up a copy of the magazines that publish them unless they get a free contributor's copy. Without support, magazines don't last. Without magazines, there's no place to get your writing across. Fiction: All fiction should be short stories of a reasonable length, attached to an email as a .txt file. Don't forget to include a short bio of yourself, too. We'll gladly accept simultaneous submissions. After all, you might not even get a rejection from us, so there's no point letting your short story lie fallow. Poetry: All kinds will be considered. Articles: If you've got an original essay or--God willing--an interview with someone of some importance in the fiction/horror world, then send that bastard our way. We would LOVE any true stories about experiences in the writing and publishing world. The more interesting, the better. What is the state of fiction in nowadays? What experiences have you had in the fiction world? What was the nastiest rejection letter you've ever gotten? Ever been screwed over by a publisher or editor? All of this stuff is great for publishing. Just fix up your story so that it's professional-sounding to some degree. Art: Always looking for something for the splash page, so let me know. POD/Small Press Reviews: I review POD and small press books in search of that special gem that sometimes gets lost amidst the large New York publishers. If you want your POD or small press book reviewed, please send it via email by clicking here, or sending a hard copy to: POD/Small Press Reviews Editor Payment I'm working my ass off to get a few sponsors to pay for the site and to offer a payment to featured work. Featured work, ideally, will be paid $100 upon acceptance and publication. Not every published story or poem or interview will be featured, and so not every contributor will be paid. Them's the ropes--take it or leave it! How to Submit your work 1. First, you need to join the newsletter. You only need to do this once, and then you may submit as often as you'd like. Before I read your story, I'll check to make sure your email address is in the newsletter database. If it's not, then I trash it immediately. You can join the newsletter right now!
