Truckers have lots of room for signage on the outside of their vehicles. And those vehicles travel far and wide over highways, byways and any side street that will allow them to travel it.
Getting The Word Out
Give the people that see your truck something to talk about. Extravagant lighting, exotic paint jobs, a big clown face on the front of your semi (oh wait that’s been done… Sorry Stephen King). And make sure that it is spectacular enough that they do see it; make it so that they can’t miss it in fact. If nothing else… They’ll be talking about you at the very least. Now you need to concentrate on today’s social networking. Even truckers are texting (preferably not while they’re driving), tweeting (on Twitter) and watching videos on You Tube. If you don’t have something to contribute to at least one of these sources, go ahead and park those trucks in a junkyard somewhere because that’s all you’ll need them for. If you aren’t in the social network you aren’t anywhere, these days.
Provide Quality Service And Employment Opportunities
The best way to get good customer references is to get good customers! Of course you have to make sure that they get the word out as to how pleased they are with your service. If it’s employees you are looking for you are going to have to offer them something besides just a job; though in today’s economy just a job is looking better and better. Have satisfied customers sing your praises on all available social networks; the same goes for people that have been hired by you and love working for your company.
Getting the word out is easier now than it has ever been thanks to the Internet, iPads, iPods and social networks online. Join in the fun before the fun becomes your demise.
