Dear loyal readers,

Finally--after, what? Four years? Five?--this magazine feels professional. With a new design and a lot of extra help from two volunteer editors, Brew City Magazine is finally sitting pretty. No more ads, no more annoying New York Times headlines (that link to articles you have to pay to read, for Christ's sake), and no more bullshit.

We've got new fiction, a few new sections and new poetry. Hopefully, we'll have a few new articles and interviews in the coming months, so keep an eye out for that as well. If business keeps up as well as it is, I'll be putting more money aside to make sure I can offer payment to EVERY contribution made to the magazine. Obviously, the magazine will always have fiction and poetry from all over, but there's also going to be a certain level of dedication toward the city of Milwaukee, because it's where I live and I fucking love this place.

Nothing has been deleted. The fiction and poetry and art is all still on the server, and I promise I'll archive it all so anyone can still find the old contributions from long ago. As time goes on, older material will continue to be archived but nothing will ever be deleted.

I hope you enjoy the new design and keep checking in. I've had a blast putting this together, working with writers and entertaining the casual Web browsers. I hope to continue doing so for a long, long time.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Brosky
