Dear loyal readers,

Sometimes, life you gives you lemons. And you can either make lemonade or chuck those lemons right back, hopefully getting a little acidic pulp in life's eyes, thus blinding life and making sure he never pisses you off again.

What does this mean? It means sometimes, I really enjoy putting together this Webzine. It's difficult, granted, and time-consuming, of course, but sometimes it really feels like Brew City Magazine actually MEANS something. Recently, we've published a short story by an HWA member, top of the line, on top of having some great fiction coming in from non-HWA members.

Now, thanks in no small part to Stacey Cochran, we've got an interview with Poppy Z. Brite, quite possibly one of the greatest horror writers of our time. If you've never read her work, I would heartily suggest picking up one of her novels. But be warned: it may kill your writer's ego, having read some of the best writing out there today.

Not only that, I can't help but admit that Brite is one of my personal heroes. I enjoy reading her work, especially her short stories that are gold nuggets in the sand of short story collections. It's an honor to have even her very NAME grace the pages of this small literary online magazine.

A thousand thanks go out to both Cochran and Brite, whose contribution to Brew City Magazine won't go unnoticed in the near-future. Someday, when Brew City Mag is a thriving, multi-billion dollar literary machine, both Brite and Cochran will be taken care of for the remainder of their waking lives.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Brosky
